Las mariposas monarca regresan al Área de la Bahía.


Los programas resaltando el regreso de las mariposas monarca a la Ardenwood Historic Farm en Fremont continúan con presentaciones y caminatas de la 1:00 p.m. a las 2:30 p.m. el viernes y sábado 29 y 30 de noviembre.

Las mariposas descansan anualmente en los bosquecillos de eucaliptos en Ardenwood en los meses de noviembre a enero, como parte de su multi-generacional ciclo de vida migratorio.

El dueño del restaurante Century Buffet en el Distrito de Fruitvale ha sido acusado de abuso de sus trabajadores.

La Procuradora de Justicia del Condado de Alameda ha acusado a Ji Li Zheng, dueño del restaurante Century Buffet en el Distrito de Fruitvale, con 16 felonías y delitos menores relacionados con fraude en impuestos de nómina, fraude en el seguro de compensación de trabajadores, incumplimiento en pagar el salario mínimo y tiempo extra estipulados por el Estado, y persuadir a testigos.

Local tortilla factory honors old-world values   ----   

“My dad only had a third grade education, so he’s proof that if you work hard you can do anything you put your mind to,” said Susana “Sucy” Collazo.

We’re sitting at a small table inside Mexico Tortilla Factory, a restaurant, market and tortilla factory in downtown Newark. Sucy’s parents started the business in 1970 and it has become a well-known and well-loved destination for Mexican food and food products.
