San Francisco welcomes the Mexican Naval Academy’s training vessel “Cuauhtemoc” on July 13th at Pier 27, her last stop before sailing to its home port in the beautiful city of Acapulco, Mexico.
 
During the past six months, the tall ship has sailed the Pacific Ocean and visited Honolulu, Hawaii; the cities of Quingdao and Shanghai in the Republic of China; Incheon, South Korea; Vladivostok, Russia; and the cities of Osaka, Tokio and Onjuku in Japan.

Throughout her goodwill visit July 13th to the 18th, residents and tourists in San Francisco and the Bay Area will have the opportunity to go on-board and get acquainted with the features that resemble former 18th Century vessels.
 
After 19,253 miles and six months the Mexican Navy vessel has conveyed the message of friendliness to the people’s of the different port cities she visited.
 
The Consulate General of Mexico in San Francisco encourages the residents of San Francisco and the Bay Area to be a part of this historical experience that will take place at Pier 27 starting July 13. The entrance is free and open to the public from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily.
